Board of Dental Examiners

Welcome to the Board of Dental Examiners.

The Board of Dental Examiners is responsible for the protection of the public by governing and regulating the practice of dentistry and dental hygiene in New Hampshire. The Board has four principle functions:

  1. to examine, license, and register applicants whom it finds to be qualified to practice dentistry and dental hygiene;
  2. to ensure that all licensees are in compliance with the Dental Practice Act (RSA 317-A) and the Board's administrative rules;
  3. to make, amend, and adopt reasonable rules and regulations governing the conduct of dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants;
  4. to undertake, when appropriate, adjudicatory proceedings and disciplinary action against licensees.

Notices

  • On April 3, 2017, the Board of Dental Examiners (“Board”) voted to adopt as initial proposal Den 100, and on May 1, 2017 the Board voted to adopt as an initial proposal Den 300-500. The Board has scheduled a public hearing on these proposals for August 7, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Interested persons may submit oral comments on the proposals at that hearing, and the Board will accept written comments on these proposals from now until the conclusion of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted via mail to the Board’s office at 121 S. Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301, or electronically via email to Robert J. Lamberti, Jr., Attorney I, at robert.lambertijr@nh.gov.
