Initial License

All applicants for licensure in New Hampshire are required to submit a completed application for consideration of certification as a Physician Assistant. Applicants may obtain proof of graduation from their Physician Assistant Program and their certification of scores from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) through the Federation of State Medical Boards' Credentialing Verification Service (FCVS). FCVS provides primary source verification of your "core" medical credentials.

Renewal of License

To renew a PA license, the PA must provide a copy of their current national certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), per Med 608 LICENSE RENEWAL med-608-adopted-text-20220803.  Also, pursuant to RSA 126-A:97, all prescribers required to register with the program who possess a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license number shall complete 3 contact hours of free appropriate prescriber's regulatory board-approved online continuing education or pass an online examination, in the area of pain management and addiction disorder or a combination, as a condition for license renewal. Please Note: Paper applications are no longer accepted for renewals.

If you currently have a NH license, you will receive a renewal notification at 60 days and within 15 days prior to the expiration of your license. 

  • First time renewing your license online?  Use the registration code from your renewal notification to create your online account.
  • Already have an account?  Use your username and password to access your online application.
  • Forgot your username?  Use your registration code to access your license online for renewal. 
  • Need a registration code?  Your registration code is included on your renewal notification. If you need a registration code, please contact CustomerSupport@oplc.nh.gov.  Include your name, telephone number, License number and request for a registration code.
