Board of Court Reporters

The Board of Court Reporters sets appropriate standards for the proper licensure of court reporters, establishes and maintains a standard of competency for individuals engaged in the practice of court reporting, maintains the integrity of the transcription of the spoken word in order to protect the general public.

Online Renewals Are Now Available for Court Reporters!

The Board has readopted Administrative Rules Rep 217 and 300-500.

The Board of Court Reporters is looking for interested parties to fill three Board member positions, currently held by members whose terms have expired and have reached their term limits. Pursuant to RSA 310-A:163 the positions include: a court reporter, a public member, and one of whom shall be admitted to practice law in the state of New Hampshire. Additional requirements are detailed in RSA 310-A:163. Interested parties shall submit: a resume that includes legal name, legal residency, contact information, and four letters of recommendation (including at least two professional). Also include a cover letter of interest addressed to Joseph Shoemaker, Division Director, OPLC Division of Technical Professions, 121 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301. The letter shall indicate the role on the Board interested in (court reporter, attorney or public member), and explain what skills and experience they will bring to the Board.
