Occupational Licensing Grant Timeline

November 28 – 30th, 2018 – Occupational Licensing Consortium

The Office of Professional Licensure and Certification’s (OPLC’s), Occupational Licensing Review and Reform Project has begun with a team of ten (10) individuals from OPLC Administration and Boards who attended an occupational licensing consortium sponsored by the National Council of State Legislators (NCSL) and the Council of State Government (CSG) in Clearwater, FL, November 28-30th, 2018. New Hampshire was fortunate to be asked to join the consortium this year and the team found that the consortium provided resourceful and networking opportunities to help with Legislation, Administrative and Regulatory changes, compacts and technological efficiencies. The Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR) was also at the consortium and they worked with the team to gather information to work with NH on the Occupational Licensing Review and Reform Project.

December 3rd, 4th, and 5th – Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR)
On December 3rd the CLEAR representatives, Cory Everett, CLEAR/OPLC Consultant for the project and Adam Parfitt, CEO for CLEAR, came to New Hampshire to begin their research and analysis of occupational licensing at OPLC. Cory and Adam met with OPLC Administration and Board Administrators to discuss the project plan and their approach as to how they will conduct research and analysis with “one on one” discussions with Board Administrators and Boards members to gather the data needed for change recommendations and reporting.

December 4th, CLEAR gave a presentation to over 30 attendees from OPLC Administration, Board Administrators, Board Members, Legislators, NH Employment Security, Office of Business and Economic Affairs, and ACLU on what CLEAR is about and the project plan and deliverables over the next 18 months that CLEAR will be conducting their research and analysis of occupational licensing at OPLC.
