Advisory Board of Massage Therapy

The Advisory Board of Massage Therapists was created in the Department of Health & Human Services to regulate massage establishments and massage therapists and establish basic qualifications for licensure of massage therapists. The board was recently transferred to the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification in the Division of Health Professions.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ESSENTIAL SERVICES:

The Office of Professional Licensure and Certification has been in contact with New Hampshire Business and Economic Affairs (“BEA”) to determine if services provided by Massage Therapists are considered essential services. Currently, services provided by Massage Therapists are not essential services. Please see Executive Order #17 for requirements and restrictions that may apply. https://www.governor.nh.gov/news-media/emergency-orders/documents/emergency-order-17-1.pdf.
