Public Hearing - Licensed Dieticians
Public Hearing - Licensed Dietitians
Dear Licensee,
We want to welcome you to a public hearing scheduled for Friday, September 13,
2024, at 9:15 a.m. Interested parties are welcome to attend the hearing or submit
comments.
The hearing will cover updates to the following rules:
Diet 100 - Organizational Rules:
The Board of Licensed Dietitians is proposing to repeal and readopt sections of Diet
100. Key changes include:
- Diet 103.02 - Updating the Board’s responsibilities by removing tasks now assigned to the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (effective July15, 2023).
- Diet 103.03 - Changing the wording to specify that the chairperson is "elected" rather than "selected."
- Diet 103.0 - Repealing the rule on board members’ ineligibility to participate in certain proceedings.
- Diet 103.07 - Repealing the rule related to public access to meeting minutes.
- Diet 104 - Updating office location, mailing address, and contact information by specifying that correspondence should be directed to the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification.
- Diet 104.02 - Changing how people can access records and meeting minutes by directing them to procedures in Plc 103.
Diet 500 - Ethical Standards:
The Board is proposing to readopt and amend Chapter Diet 500 as follows:
- Diet 501.01 - Clarifying that anyone practicing in NH must follow these ethical rules.
- Diet 501.02 - Rewording parts of the rules, such as:
- Changing “violation of the ethics shall result in disciplinary actions” to “violation of the ethics shall constitute misconduct subject to disciplinary action.”
- Updating the phrase “professional conduct” to “ethical standards.”
- Making editorial changes and removing the requirement to update your business and home address within 30 days.
- Diet 501.03 - Replacing the detailed list of ethics with a reference to the latest version of the Code of Ethics for the Nutrition and Dietetics Profession (September 2018).
