Public Hearing - Mental Health Licensees

Dear Licensee,

We want to inform you that a public hearing is scheduled for Friday, September 20,
2024, at 9:00 a.m.

The hearing will cover updates to Mhp 200 - Rules of Practice and Procedure:

The Board of Mental Health Practice proposes to repeal rules Mhp 201 through
Mhp 214, and replace them by adopting Plc 200 rules from the Office of
Professional Licensure and Certification. Key updates include:

1. These changes are being made because OPLC was given rulemaking authority under RSA 310:6, effective July 15, 2023, to set organizational and procedural rules for all boards.
2. The new rules under Plc 200 will cover topics such as:
   • Handling misconduct complaints and investigations.
   • Procedures for adjudicative and non-adjudicative proceedings.
   • How rulemaking petitions and requests for declaratory rulings are managed.
   • Guidelines for voluntary license surrender and waivers.

Interested parties are welcome to attend the hearing or provide comments. If you
can’t attend, you can still send written comments by email to oplcrules@oplc.nh.gov by Monday, September 30, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
