The reimbursement request must be processed by the nursing facility and then sent to the Board of Nursing, then it is sent to DHHS for review and processing. The reimbursement check is issued 4 - 6 weeks after received by the NH Board of Nursing, Nursing Assistant Registry.
Does a Nursing Assistant who is employed by a home health agency, residential care home, assisted living facility, hospice facility or hospital qualify for training/testing reimbursement?
The Nursing Assistant must have become employed by a nursing facility that is licensed by DHHS no later than 12 months after successfully completed the training/testing.
How long does Nursing Assistant have to be employed by the nursing facility (nursing home) to qualify to apply for reimbursement?
The regulation does not require a specific period of employment. Therefore, the NA may initiate the request for reimbursement as soon as he/she is employed by a nursing facility.
