Real Estate Appraisers Board

The purpose of the New Hampshire Real Estate Appraiser Board is to bring New Hampshire into compliance with Title XI of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989. The federal act's purpose is to protect federal financial and public policy interests in real estate related transactions by requiring that real estate appraisers used in connection with federally-related transactions are performed in writing, in accordance with uniform standards, by individuals whose competency has been demonstrated and whose professional conduct will be subject to effective supervision. However, any real estate appraisal service performed by an individual licensed or certified under this chapter shall be subject to the supervision of the board.

New Rulemaking

On February 15, 2019, the Real Estate Appraiser's Board voted on an initial rulemaking proposal regarding Rab 306.01 and Rab 308.01 pdf file. The Board will be holding a public comment hearing on this proposal on May 3, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. at the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification, 121 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301.

Persons interested in providing oral testimony on this proposal may do so in person at the public hearing. Written testimony on this proposal will be accepted through the end of the public comment hearing, and may be submitted through mail at the address listed above or via email to Thomas.Broderick@oplc.nh.gov.

Newly Adopted Rules

On December 14, 2018, the NH Real Estate Appraisers Board voted to adopt rules changes to Rab 302.09, 302.17, 304.01, 306, 307.04, 307.08, 308.01(d), and 401.02 pdf file. These rules are effective beginning December 18, 2018.

Notice of Adopted Administrative Rules for AMC

The Real Estate Appraiser Board has adopted administrative rules Rab 300, various sections effective July 17, 2019. AMC’s must now report to the National Registry; therefore, they must include the number of NH appraisers on staff who performed an appraisal for the company on a covered transaction within New Hampshire in the last year. Please use the dates October 1, 2018 – September 30, 2019 as the reporting year.

AMC’s cannot renew online at this time.
