Letter of good standing/Verification letter from the state you hold your license.

Exam Registration Form pdf file and the appropriate fee.

Once the exam has been passed, fill out the appropriate application (Salesperson pdf file) (Broker pdf file).

MA, VT, ME and GA – You must have been licensed by taking the State and National Exam in these states.

back to topHow long do I have to take my first exam?

All applicants who started their pre-licensure course prior to February 1, 2020 will have 1 year from the date of their first class to sit for the examination. All applicants who started their pre-licensure course on February 1, 2020 or after will have 6 months from the date of their first class to sit for the examination.

back to topHow do I apply for Equivalency?

Download and fill out the Transaction Verification Form pdf file and the corresponding MLS sheets from the transactions

We will need a letter of good standing from the state where you took your original examination.

Download and fill out the Broker Equivalency Form pdf file.

If you are approved, Equivalency waives the requirement for you to hold a New Hampshire salesperson license for 1 year in the state of NH prior to becoming a broker.  If the Commission approves you for equivalency, you will need to take the 60 hours of NH approved education. You will also be required to take both the State and National portions of the examination.

Please note that we cannot schedule you for an appointment with the Commission until we have received your package in our office.  Please compile documents and send them together at one time, do not send them in pieces.  You can mail them with your official request to:
