How do I deactivate my license from a brokerage?

Your off-boarding principal broker must complete the Deactivation of an Active License Amendment Form and send it to the OPLC along with a copy of the wall certificate and your pocket card.

The form, wall certificate and pocket card can be sent to OPLC by:

  • Emailing them to the licensing group at: oplclicensing2@oplc.nh.gov, or
  • Dropping them off at OPLC, or
  • Mailing them to the OPLC.

 

 

How do I make my license inactive?

The principal broker must complete a Deactivation form, and the license holder must submit their request for an inactive license in writing with a copy of the current license certificate.

How do I activate my license to a new brokerage?

PLEASE NOTE: It is the responsibility of the licensee to notify their principal broker as soon as possible that they are associating with a new brokerage. 

The form and fee can either be dropped off or mailed to our office. 

How do I change my Broker license to/from an Associate Broker, Managing Broker, or Principal Broker license? 

The license holder needs to complete a Change of Broker Status Amendment form.

If you are changing to a principal broker license type, please email: oplclicensing2@oplc.nh.gov and explain the circumstances. An email reply will be sent with additional information and requirements.

 

How do I change the principal broker for a firm, branch, and/or trade name? 

The on boarding principal broker must complete a Change of Principal Broker Amendment form and pay the Amendment fee.

If the on boarding broker is not the principal broker, we will need a Change of Broker Status form

If the off-boarding broker is staying with the brokerage, we will need a Change of Broker Status form.

Every agent at the brokerage for all locations will require a Deactivation and Activation form and fee to the new principal broker. 

 

How do I change or add a managing broker to a firm-branch location?

The on boarding managing broker must complete a Change of Managing Broker Amendment form and pay the Amendment fee.

If the on boarding broker is not a managing broker, we will need a Change of Broker Status form.

If the off-boarding broker is staying with the brokerage, we will need a Change of Broker Status form.

How will I receive my license?

We process all applications in the order in which they are received. Please allow 10-14 business days for processing or contact from OPLC.

OPLC issues licenses via email to the email address you provided on your application.

To ensure you are receiving communication from OPLC in a timely manner, please add the following address to your contact list in your email account: nh.licenses@doit.nh.gov and oplclicensing2@oplc.nh.gov.

How will I receive my renewal notice?

OPLC will issue your renewal notice 60-days prior to your expiration date via email as a courtesy. Please add nh.licenses@doit.nh.gov to your contacts to ensure you receive the notice in your main inbox.

You cannot renew a license more than 60-days prior to the expiration date.
